Pupil Passport
Welcome to our page to share with you the Aspire Pupil Passport.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Over the summer holidays we would love for you to complete some of the activities at home with your children and tick them off! We have sent home the pages that you will need to do this. We would love it if you could then bring back into school the completed pages to share with your child's new class teacher in September.
Welcome to the Aspire Passport – a note for adults!
This passport has been developed in conjunction with all the schools with the ‘Aspire Educational Trust’ and is designed to ensure that all our children are given similar experiences regardless of the school they attend. You will note that there are 20 activities per year group.
Your child should aim to ‘tick off’ all 20 experiences over the period of an academic year; some of these activities will take place in school and some at home (with the help of you, their adults!). Once an activity has been completed, your child should tick it ‘off’ and date it. Please note that an activity can take place more than once (i.e. at school and at home!).
At the end of the academic year (if all 20 activities have been completed), the children will be awarded an ‘Aspire Achievement Badge’. Obviously, over their time in school, every child will have the opportunity to acquire 7 badges.
The Memories Page
Each year the children have also got access to a ‘Memories Page’ - this is a page where they can add photos of the activities they have undertaken, collect souvenirs of places they have visited, record observations, etc., etc. Overtime, we hope this will provide a wonderful record of their experiences, activities and achievements for you to keep and treasure!
Independence
Obviously, we want to develop children’s independence and so we will very much be encouraging them to take ‘ownership’ of their diary. If they complete an activity, please encourage them to tick them off and date it, themselves. In addition, please gently remind them, over the year, that they should be aiming to complete the activities.
Thank you
Finally, we want to say thank you to you for supporting us with this venture. We hope you have fun completing some of the activities alongside your children, we certainly will in school.
