Welcome to Year 4!

Staffing

There are 3 classes in Year 4; Class 4E, 4M and 4HK. The teachers are, Mr Eccles, Mr Mahamoud, Miss Kauser and Miss Hussain. They will be supported is class by, Miss Galyna, Miss Habib and Mrs Richards.

Summer 2

Maths –Perimeter, knowledge of the 3,6 and 9 times tables.

Literacy – Writing a set of instructions/recipie. Writing and performing a persuasive advert.

• Science – What is sound? Focus on how sounds are created and how
sound travels.
• Geography – Why are Earth’s biomes different
• Computing – Online safety / Logo / Sound Stories
• Music – Poetry. Focus on singing and performance
• PSHE – How do we treat each other with respect?
• PE – Gymnastics – creating a sequence of movements. Outdoor PE -
Sports invasion games. Swimming for 4E and 4M
• MFL – French
• Design technology – Food and nutrition
• RE - Why are festivals important to religious communities?

PE kit (Indoor) – Plain white t-shirt, navy, or black shorts/leggings. NO TIGHTS Please.

PE kit (outdoor) – Plain jumper, navy, or black leggings/joggers/shorts and trainers

School starts at 8:45am.
Please ensure your child is in on time as we have focused groups and interventions starting at 8:50am
