Safeguarding for Children
Wilbraham Primary School is passionate about and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and visitors to share this commitment. We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school. All concerns are passed to trained Designated Child Protection Officers in school in compliance with the sharing of information guidance.
Child Protection aims to keep children safe where there is a serious risk of harm. Serious risk of harm may arise from a single event or a series of concerns over time. Safeguarding refers to all children, whilst child protection refers distinctly to children at risk of harm.
The Senior Designated Officer for Child Protection is Steve Wheeldon. He is supported by the Deputy Designated Officer for Child Protection, Carrie Godwin, and our Other Deputy Designated Officers, Ann-Marie Nelson and Sarah Ikin.
If you are concerned then you can speak to your class teacher or you can ask to speak to Carrie or Ann-Marie and one of us will come and speak to you. Alternatively you can email us at any time at welfare@wilbrahamprimary.com
During the school holidays you can email welfare@wilbrahamprimary.com and one of our Designated Safeguarding Oficers will respond to your enquiry.
