Tax Free Childcare

Around 1 million families are missing out on a childcare saving of up to £2,000 per year per child aged up to 12 years (£4000 per year for children with a disability) because they are not claiming Tax Free ChildCare (TFC)

Tax Free Childcare can be used to pay for holiday care and before and after school provision as well as for day care. Many Families do not realise that they can use Tax Free Childcare to pay for their school aged children's care. As the cost of living spirals, families might be relieved to hear that there is financial support available to help them witht heir childcare costs.

Childcare providers must register with HMRC to be able to receive Tax free Childcare payments but feedback suggests that the registration process is straightforward and that managing payments is simple  for both parents/carers and childcare providers.
