School Meals

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 then they are entitled to receive a free school dinner under the new Government Universal Free Meals Scheme.  All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been recorded as having a free school meal, however if you would prefer your child to have a packed lunch then please can you inform the school office and they will amend your child’s school meal records.

The school can provide a hot dinner for your child in Nursery and Year 3 to Year 6 also.  The cost of the meal is £2.35 a day  per day which is £11.75 per week and must be paid by card payments online in advance weekly via the  school gateway app on a Monday morning.  Termly payments can also be made in advance.

Free School Meals

If you think your child is entitled to Free School Meals, please visit our Free School Meals page where you can check if you would be eligible and ways that you can apply for Free School Meals for your child.

Changing Your Child's Meal Pattern

We ask all parents/carers to decide on a termly basis if your child will have school dinners or bring in a packed lunch from home.  If you wish to change your child’s meal pattern, you must inform the school office to ensure that you are not inadvertently charged for meals that have not been taken and that we do not order meals that are not required.  You can change your child’s meal pattern easily via our school website, just visit our Change in Meal Pattern page, complete the online form and submit it.  This will be sent directly to our school office who will amend your child’s meal arrangements accordingly.  You must give the school office one weeks notice for any change in meal pattern to take effect.

Careful records of any money owed to you are kept if your child has been absent.  Dinner money records are checked on a Friday afternoon and if payment has not been received for any meals taken then a reminder letter will be sent out to you.

Our Menus

School dinners are cooked daily on site in our school kitchen.  All our meals meet new Government standards and are nutritionally analysed.  Please inform the school office of any dietary requirements that your child may have, i.e. halal, vegetarian, no dairy, etc. so that these may be catered for.
