Year 5 homework for Friday 25th September

Date: 24th Sep 2026 @ 11:25am

The homework for Y5 this week is below. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s class teacher.

Weekly homework –

Reading to an adult 3x a week – remember to log this on Pageticker.  It is great seeing all the wonderful reading happening at home.  You can also access Reading Plus and Lexia at home.

Spellings this week we have been learning words with the suffix -ible: possible, impossible, horrible, sensible, visible, invisible, reversible, responsible, edible, legible.  The red/orange words are: bruise, community, through, apparent, increase, building.

If you do Nessy this can also be accessed at home.

Maths – keep practising your times tables on TTRS and the flashcards if you’ve been given those.

New homework (Art)-  Find something that you can sketch at home- it can be anything!  Can you use different media e.g. pen, pencil, felt tips?  Remember to observe carefully and don’t worry about making mistakes.

Wilbraham Question of the Week - What do you think makes a good poem and why?
