Y5 Homework - Friday 2nd October

Date: 2nd Oct 2026 @ 12:24pm

Weekly homework –

Reading to an adult 3x a week – remember to log this on Pageticker.  It is great seeing all the wonderful reading happening at home.  You can also access Reading Plus and Lexia at home.

Spellings this week.  We continued learning words with the suffix -ible: possible, impossible, horrible, sensible, visible, invisible, reversible, responsible, edible, legible.  The red/orange words are: imagine, already, ordinary, determined, opportunity, achievement

We have also been introduced to the suffix - able: adaptable, adorable, believable, bearable, changeable, enviable, enjoyable, knowledgeable, miserable, noticeable, reasonable, reliable, understandable.

If you do Nessy this can also be accessed at home.

Maths – keep practising your times tables on TTRS and the flashcards if you’ve been given those.

New homework -  Following on from Poetry Day, can you see wonder around you?  On your way to school can you spot wonder in nature?  You may be inspired to write your own poem at home.
