Nursery Homework for Friday 17th April 2026

Each week the Nursery children will have a new question to talk about at home. This homework will be talk based and will be linked to what they are learning in school. It will give you the opportunity to discuss learning at home. In school, during snack time, the children will also discuss the Nursery homework. In addition, there will also be a whole school Wilbraham question of the week. This is for families to discuss together at home.

Friday 17th April:

This week in phonics, we played a shopping game, focussing on oral blending and segmenting. You can play a similar game at home to practise oral blending. Play 'I spy with my little eye' and give the sounds of the object you can see. For example say c-a-t (it is important you say the letter sounds rather than the letter names). Can your child blend the sounds (put the sounds together) to guess the word? (c-a-t = cat)
