Who We Are and How You Can Join Us
There are currently 12 Governors that make up our Governing Body which are made up of Local Authority officers, members of the local community, school staff and parents/carers of children who attend the school. They have various roles focusing on different aspects of running the school.
Our current Governors are listed below:
Local Authority Governors
Chair of Governors
Childrens' Committee Member
DIANE GRAY-STEPHENSON (Parent)
Chair of the Childrens' Committee
ANN-MARIE NELSON (Staff)
Childrens' and Resources Committee
Chair of the Resources Committee
Others Attending Meetings
Clerk to Governors
The Chair of Governors and Deputy Chair are elected in the Autumn Term Governing Body meeting and are elected by the individual members of the Governing Body.
When a space becomes available on the Governing Body, our Clerk to Governors will inform the Chair of Governors and a new Governor will be appointed or voted in as soon as possible.
When a staff or parent governor vacancy becomes available, staff or parents are notified in writing to give them the opportunity to apply for a position on the Governing Body. If more people apply than there are places available, then it will open a public vote for staff or parents to vote in who they would like to be on the Governing Body.
If you are elected to be a Governor for Wilbraham Primary School, there will be an expectation that you attend meetings on a regular basis. As a Governor, you will be expected to attend approximately 2 meetings per term. Agreeing to be a school Governor is making a commitment to the school and maintaining that commitment throughout the course of your term on the Governing Body.
