We took a very inexperienced tag rugby team to their first ever tournament a few weeks ago. The team were super enthusiastic and picked up the sport very quickly. We could see a great improvement each game and they really enjoyed themselves. They showed incredible teamwork and were a credit to the school.

Our year 5 and 6 girls have been amazing so far this year! We started the league off with three wins out of three at Newall Green High School. The girls are performing tremendously well a the minute and it’s all down to their hard work and team spirit! Well done girls keep it up!
Our year 5 and 6 boys started the league off with a big win and two, hard fought, high scoring draws. We are working really hard in training every week and constantly improving. Behaviour and attitude has been amazing and if this keeps up there is no telling how far we can go.
Earlier this half term, 4 children represented school at the cross country competition. Over 60 children took part in both the boys and girls races. This meant that the level of competition was very high. Our children put in a fantastic effort with all of them finishing in the top half of each race. Raf even managed to finish in the top 10! Well done to Jeremiah, Raf, Tianna and Holly.
On Monday 7th October, we took 8 girls along to the Cliff (former training ground of Manchester United) for their first football tournament of the year. For many of these girls it was their first experience of a tournament and we were both surprised and delighted with what happened. The girls played six games in total and came out victorious in three, drew two and lost only one game - by one goal! They were amazing and everyone enjoyed their day, we cannot wait for the next one!
We recently took a team of 8, year 3 and 4 boys, to the Cliff - home of Manchester United. This was their first football tournament of the year. The boys were absolutely amazing, winning 5 out of 6 games played. One with a last minute winner! The children played fantastically well and supported each other along the way, even during the very close 1-0 loss. Well done boys! We are so proud!
