Yesterday, a group of children accompanied Mr Willams and Mr Eccles on a trip to buy some equipment to begin the development of the school garden area. Below is a summary of the day, written by Tony in Year 6.
'Today, we went to a super-market called Homebase. They had loads of gardening tools and much more. We bought some things for Forest School, including a greenhouse.
When we were building the greenhouse there were lots of different green poles. They were numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. We had to use the picture and instructions to work out what order they fitted together. It was a very exciting experience and we learnt a lot about nature and different types of plants.
We also got some trays and pots so that we can plant the seeds next week. I can’t wait to do it again next week!'
Keep your eye on the blog, as you will be able to track our progress over the course of the year to see what our school garden is able to produce!
