This year we are going to get a lot more children attending Forest School sessions. We have 48 children this half term alone, with a view to increasing that number next half term. We want all children to be able to enjoy the huge benefits of being outdoors and experiencing being in the woods. After the initial risk assessment and a long time playing warm up games, it was time to tie a timber hitch and put up a tarpaulin to make a shelter. Then a quick lesson in using loppers before sitting down by the fire for our lunch. Some time to make a swing … Was followed by a walk to explore, climb, scramble and enjoy! Finally, a great picture by Mia . Thanks for a great day!
