This group is Lewis, Maison, Ranem, Morgan, Scarlet, Muzzamil, Setarah, Sebastien, Uzair, Tanya, Evie and Olivia. In forest school you learn about things to do in nature life. In forest school we built dens, explored places, and we even went into caves in the dark. Forest school is an amazing experience and is set in Alderley Edge. (Muzzamil 5W) In forest school I made a lots of new friends and learnt about nature, its was fun when we went into the cave it was my first time. We even got to build a shelter its was sooo fun at Alderley edge! ( Scarlet 5G ) Our on-site group enjoyed their second - slightly wetter- session today. We talked about the activities they enjoyed last time and discussed how the area might have changed.
We came across a tree that had been covered in a mysterious substance. We later discovered that this was 'Dragons Breath'. it meant that there had been a visit from a dragon! We used his breath to make bracelets that would identify us and keep us safe from the dragon. We then made shelters, using our knowledge from the previous session, to help protect us from the rain. From there we played some 'hide and seek' games. These games required us to be able to use our knowledge of the area to describe the location of certain objects. To finish with we discussed the different trees we could see, how were they different? and what can we look for to spot differences? We managed to identify Ash, Oak, Silver Birch, Larch and Sycamore by using the bark and the leaves. The second day for Kayden, Bader, Idil, Poppy, Holly, Abdulwahhab. Eshan, Abdulmalik, Ethan, Olivia, Sienna and Gurtejal was very hot. Fortunately, all the leaves on the trees helped keep the sunshine off us. We played games, then made our friendship bracelets before going to find the dragon! However , the dragon was not to be found but we did see where it had destroyed the Little People's village! We felt we had to help rebuild the village and everyone worked together to do this. Then it was lunchtime followed by an afternoon of exploring, climbing and scrambling! Thirsty work! Mr Marchant and Mr Eccles took a group of children out into the school's very own Forest School area. This was the first time a group have used this space, and it was BRILLIANT! We explored the area and discussed why it was different to the rest of school. We looked at the the different trees we could see and played a game to learn each others names using different animals. We had an Antelope, an Ant, a Zebra, a Mole, 2 Elephants, a Leopard, a Snake, a Bull and a Slug!
We enjoyed making shelters and working together to solve different puzzles. |
