Mr Wheeldon's VIP Lunch
Each week, Mr Wheeldon holds a VIP Lunch session for a group of children of all ages in the new building. A child is chosen from each class to attend the VIP lunch. In order for a child to be awarded a place at this amazing lunch table, they will need to have shown excellent manners in class and around school. They may have held doors open, remembered to say please and thank you, been extra helpful around the class or been a really good friend. In Friday's assembly, the teachers announce who has been chosen from their class for the following week and they are given the VIP card to display on their behaviour chart for the whole week.
On Friday, the children who were chosen are sent to the conference room with their lunch, regardless if they are on school dinners or packed lunches. They sit around the big table and have their lunch with Mr Wheeldon and get to chat and watch cartoons. Each child gets to choose a special drink and also gets to have crisps and biscuits with their lunch. The VIP lunch is lots of fun and the children who have been awarded this honour so far have said that they really enjoyed it. Most of the children don't want to leave and wish they could come every week! |
