This week, year 6 have been learning about refraction. We have been exploring how prims refract light to show the spectrum of colour, how rainbows are formed and the ‘arrows through water’ trick. Take a look at the rainbows that we have been creating. Well done to Islam (6B) for discovering that on a sunny day, the sun provides a better light source than a torch.
For more details or a refresher, check out the videos I have added to explore refraction further. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zqg3cdm#:~:text=A%20demonstration%20of%20what%20happens,This%20bending%20is%20called%20refraction. https://www.twinkl.co.uk/teaching-wiki/refraction Next week we will be looking at shadows. What time of day do you have the longest shadow? When do you have multiple shadows?
