This week in literacy we are starting narrative writing. In school the children will be doing their cold writes and then learning about different language features that are commonly used in narratives.
Writing: We will be using Shaun Tan’s ‘The Viewer’ to create our narratives in class. It is a high quality text that has a range of different language features. The Oak Academy have a fantastic module all about this book. Complete a different lesson each day about ‘The Viewer’.

Handwriting and spelling
This week’s spellings
Environment, equipment, equipped, especially, exaggerate.
1. Write the spellings down in your neatest handwriting. Write two lines for each word.
2. Use Google to research what each word means and write the definition for each word.
3. Practice spelling each word using copy, cover, write and check.
4. Get an adult to do a spelling test for you.
5. If you got a spelling wrong, go back and practice again.
