We have had the privilege of speaking directly to the author of our class book 'The Legend of Jack Riddle'. We have written to Helen Easson asking questions about different characters, author intent and why the main character acts the way that he does. We have loved hearing from Helen and have found her insight extremely helpful when thinking about our ERIC questions.
The children are LOVING the story so far, as Helen has twisted fairy tales into a darker, more interesting story. We are finding out new pieces of information about Aunt Gee Gee, Jack's great-great-great-great Aunt who looks surprisingly young for her age, and can not wait to read the next chapter to find out what is so special about a stolen cookie jar.
