Happy New Year Year 2! ✨🎉
I am very sad to say that for the meantime school is closed. Don't worry, our learning will continue - but on our google classroom instead. On google classroom you will find daily tasks and activities to do at home. You will also be able to ask questions and talk to the Year 2 team and your friends. This half term we will be exploring the Great Fire of London, how exciting! Please remember to comment and hand in your assignments on google classroom so that we can see your fabulous work. From Monday 11th January each day you will find: - 1 Maths lesson - 1 Literacy lesson - 1 Reading/Phonics lesson - 1 Topic lesson I hope that you and your families are well and that you are all looking after each other. Enjoy your Christmas holidays everyone! Well done for all of your super hard work this term, I am so proud of all of you. I have loved getting to know you all this term and I know that I will miss you lots. Keep safe and most importantly HAVE FUN! See you all on Wednesday 6th January 2021. Miss Browning x  This half term 2B have been exploring SUPERHEROES! We all created our very own superhero identity and made a special car just for them. After researching and testing cars, we finally got to design and make our very own car. Can you spot your car? In our Geography lessons this week, we have moved on from exploring the UK and have now been learning all about the seven continents of the world. Can you name them all? On Friday afternoon, 2B spent some time decorating our class Christmas Tree to celebrate the festive season. We took the time to learn about individual's traditions around this time of year. We hope you like our tree! Can you spot which decoration you placed on the tree? Thank you to everyone in 2B for wearing odd socks this Friday. We wore odd socks to show that it is good to be different! We understand how to be kind friends in to everyone! Can you find your odd socks in this picture?   In our Art sessions we have been exploring lines, colours and patterns. We have looked closely at the artwork of Chris Ofili. We loved his artwork so much, that we have been inspired to create a final piece that is similar to his individual style. Everyone worked so hard on their patterns, lines and colours using oil pastels. They all look brilliant. Well done guys! Remember, remember the 5th of November. Gunpowder, treason and plot. I know of no reason, why the gunpowder treason, should ever be forgot! Well done for all of your hard work this half term 2B! I am very proud of each and every single one of you.
