We have had another amazing week in class 1G. This week we have been focusing on: Recognising and naming parts of the body Looking closely at number 3. We have spotted 3 things without counting (subitizing), partitioned 3 in different ways such as 2 and 1, 1 and 1 and 1 and counted out 3 objects from a larger group. We have been working on our large and small motor skills. We have done a movement disco, played with modelling dough and practised handwriting patterns whilst holding our pencil correctly. And of course, we have had lots of fun playing together, taking turns and sharing the toys and resources. We have also been practising recognising the sounds m,a,s,t,p,i,d and sounding out cvc words (such as mat, sad and pat) and blending the sounds together to make the word s-a-t = sat. Your child will bring home a new reading book on Monday. Please read with them as often as you can and make sure their book bag is back in school every Friday. Here are some of our photos:
