This week in Literacy we have continued using story 'The Very Busy Spider' by Eric Carle. We focused on writing this week. We took the sentence, 'I am too busy', from the story, cut it up and put it back together in the correct order. We read the sentence pointing at each word as we read it. We talked about which word came 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. and where we needed to put the full stop. We then wrote the sentence, thinking carefully about the letter formation.
In maths we have been learning to compare groups of objects and use the words more or fewer. We have also been learning about number 5. As always we have done lots of other exciting things like developing our fine motor skills by using a pipette to transfer coloured water, spreading chocolate spread onto rice crackers and practising our letter and number formation. Here are some photos of the week.
