We have been working very hard over the last few weeks in reception. We have started a new topic......'under the sea'. We have had so much fun making lots of under the sea creatures, such as bottle fish and crabs. We put all our beautiful work together with RN and RG and made a fabulous display.
Just look at our amazing display!!!!
We have also been continuing our weekly sessions with anchor education. This week we have a visit from Jacob. He taught us a song about initial sounds. we know that the sound s is at the beginning of snake, sock and sing.
How about a bit of yoga?
This term we have also been doing cosmic yoga, once a week. We have lots of fun doing this activity and becoming very flexible. Cosmic yoga is good for our bodies and minds. It helps us to concentrate during our school day.
Our amazing school trip to the sea life centre!!!!
We had the most amazing time on our class trip to the sea life centre. We saw lots of amazing animals that live under the sea. we saw sting rays, clown fish, puffer fish and even scary sharks! Did you know that a puffer fish puffs up its body when it becomes scared! that was one interesting fact we have learnt during our trip. also did you know that a male sea horse carries the sea horse babies in his belly? We are enjoying learning all about under the sea!
A few reminders!!!!
Can we please, please, please stress the importance of making sure your child has his/her P.E kit in every week. we highly recommend that this is brought in on a Monday and stays in all week. Your child's gymnastic day is Tuesday and Manchester city training is on Wednesday.
HOWEVER we must stress that this can sometimes change and so having their P.E kit on their peg for the WHOLE week is very important.
Next term we will be changing our topic to Zoo animals. We will be going on a whole recpetion school trip to Chester Zoo. This will happen on the first Monday back - Monday 26th February. Can we politely remind any parents who have not paid for the trip to please do so. thank you very much to all parents that have already paid.
