This week we have been very busy in RC. We have been reading a new Julia Donaldson book which is call The smartest Giant in town. We have loved reading this book and have done lots of work about it.
We have talk about where the giant lives and who his friends are. We have talked about how the giant felt in the story. We have also done some beautiful giant paintings that we are going to put up on a wall in the classroom.
This week have also had lots of fun in the outdoor area! It was a cold and windy day so we made special dens that sheltered us from the rain. It was SOOOOOOOOOO much fun!
We also had the most amazing time in our forest school area. We had our snack in the teepee and listen to a story. Then we ran around and made wands out of sticks and colorful string.
We have had another fun filled week in reception this week. We have settled in nicely in our new class and have made lots of new friends.
This week we have been doing lots of maths work. We have been practising counting all the way up to 20. . It was lots of fun! We are superstar counters!
We have also been practicing our repeated patterns. We did this on our interactive white board.
In reception we like spending time in the outdoor area. This week Miss Carroll took us into the wild area where we made bird feeders and looked for bugs. We had lots of fun and cannot wait untill we do it again next week.
