it was wonderful to see so many parents this morning. We all had lots of fun making Christmas cards, ornaments, doing puzzles , colouring and even minecraft building. The children looked wonderful in their party clothes; we even had some parents infestive hats and jumpers.
Here are the photographs of the morning.
The children were fabulous today! What a great singing square. All of the classes were brilliant! Here we our singing our song.
We performed our rap to Mr Wheeldon, Mr Marchant and 3H today. We did a fantastic job!
Here we are rehearsing.
Here is our performance in 3H.
We are learning about a new type of poem...a rap. We are learning a rap called 'How to write a rap'.
Here we are saying some of the verses.
We have been sorting different types of poems. We had to decide in our groups if the poems were haiku poems, calligrams or kennings. We looked for clues to help us. Here we are talking about our ideas.
Press the button for the lyrics to "Must be Santa", which is our singing square song.
Try and practise ready for the singing square on Tuesday!
We finished making our Neolithic balls today. They look great. We just need to wait for them to dry out now.

It was very messy! Some people had more clay on their clothes than what they were making!!!
More of this tomorrow! Can't wait to see what they turn out like!
We were Stone Age people yesterday. We noticed the seasons were changing so we decided to move from our autumn to our winter camp. It was a long, hard journey but we made it there with enough time to set up our shelters which were made from animal skins. As the sun set we ate our meal of fish, fruit and nuts and drank warming marrow...or hot chocolate!
We worked in teams to set up our shelters and we all chose a Stone Age name....Sabre tooth was a favourite, but we also had bird poo and water Lilly!
