Some children from 2S have been helping Ms Stapleton put together a blog.
In art we have been learning all about Abstract art. (Iqra). In art work we are learning about Kandinsky art work (Moses).
He was born in Russia on 1866 16th Desember. (Sakina)
Kandinsky makes colourful art. (Aaliyah)
Kandinsky is a very famous artist. Nuradin
We were doing Kandinsky Puzzles This Afternoon. (Yusuf) We had to try and put the pieces back together to make the picture.
In numeracy we have been learning all about arrays.
We have been investigating how to make arrays for different numbers. Have a look at how we got on....
In our topic lessons we have been learning all about the seasons. We talked about how the Earths rotation and orbit cause the different seasons. We discussed the different types of weather and what we like to do in each season. We are creating some "seasons" inspired artwork.
Today, tragedy struck Wilbraham as many houses were lost to the Great Fire that broke out at 3 o'clock. Observers could not believe how quickly the fire spread and demolished the models we had worked hard to produce.
However, we did find it very exciting. Much more enjoyable than the Great Fire of London in 1666!
We are looking at 3D shapes at the moment and today we tried to make our own cubes.
To do this we deconstructed one made out of clixi.
The important words to remember are vertices, edges and faces.
We use these 3 words to describe our shapes!
Here are some of our cube attempts! Different shapes tomorrow!
The School Council have challenged everyone to become more active.
The video 'Movement is Life' by Dr. William Bird (you can watch it on YouTube) clearly explains the benefits of making everyone fitter both in terms of health and brain power!!
Our challenge is to run, jog or walk a mile each day to help us become fitter, healthier and happier!
Here's our first go - 6 times round the playground will do it!
