We started this week by investigating different ways in which we could arrange a number of counters.
The children decided it was easier to count and record a number of counters when they were arranged in rows and columns rather than scattered across the table / whiteboard.
We have worked in talk partners to arrange cubes in neat rows and columns . Together the children have described what they could see. We found out that when the counters are arranged in this way it is called an array.
Can you tell your family what you found out about arrays.
Is there more than one way to arrange 6 cubes?
