On Thursday, our school nurse came into 2L to talk to us about keeping our teeth healthy and clean.
We found out that we get 2 sets of teeth. Our baby teeth ( milk teeth) and our adult teeth ( second teeth) .
Can you remember how many teeth children have?
Can you remember how many teeth adults should have?
Lot's of children in the class have already started to lose their milk teeth so Mandy told us how to look after our new adult teeth properly.
She told us that we needed to brush our teeth twice a day. Once in the morning and ( most importantly) before we go to bed, at night.
We need to brush our teeth for 2 whole minutes , making sure we clean all the teeth in our mouths. ( Don't forget the back of your teeth and your gums)
Mandy reminded us not to rinse our mouths out with water but just to spit the toothpaste out.
Finally, we need to visit the dentist twice a year.
We also talked about what foods are bad for our teeth and that we shouldn't snack on sugary foods between meals times.
When Mandy left , Ms Lindsay gave us each a new toothbrush and toothpaste. We all brushed our teeth and afterwards we had lovely, sparkly clean teeth.
Happy brushing 2L!!!
