The children have all settled really well into their new class over the first half term. I am so proud! Here is an update of what we have been learning over the past eight weeks and what you can do to help at home.
In Literacy we have been concentrating on our book skills. We have been learning to recognise the front and back cover, locate the title and point to some words in order. You can help your child by reading with them everyday and talking about the story.
In Maths we have been using Numberblocks to help us. So far we have been concentrating on numbers 1-5. We have been learning to recognise numbers to 5, count objects to 5 by saying one number for each object and select the correct number to represent 1-5 objects. Once again I would like to say a big WELL DONE to all the children for a fantastic start to the year. I am so excited to watch you all grow over the year!
