Class NC went to forest school this morning to hunt for minibeasts. We discussed what insects to look for and where we could find them. We took a clipboard and recorded our findings. We found a ladybird, a slug and lots of wiggly worms!
We had a fantastic time for British Science Week!
We were mesmerized by the Skittles experiment and how all the pretty rainbow colours created brilliant patterns when we poured water on them, (see our photos for the method if you'd like to try it at home!) Mr Mickelwright was greedy though and ate all the sweeties afterwards...
On Tuesday afternoon, Year 6 science leaders visited us to demonstrate 3 different experiments . NR's favourite was the finger printing ; we pressed or fingers into the ink then printed them on white paper and looked at the patterns, to work out which type of finger pattern we have.
Our Scientists of the Week were Malaika , Ali and Harsimran for their fab observations and questions. Thank you to Mrs Morrison for all the effort she put into Science week.
