Mariana, Abdullah, Mazen, Sufyan, Abbas, Oliver, Fiza, Laxi and Jasmine had a brilliant last day.
There were lots of options and we had to have lots of discussions about what we wanted to do.
After looking at and over the Edge, we went scrambling eventually finding a swing. This provided a lot of fun. Then Sufyan found a challenging jump with a soft landing which was also entertaining!.
Back to the bus and time to eat, drink hot chocolate and eat toasted marshmallows.
In the afternoon it was a long walk with a lot of climbing, following a stream and eventually our favourite place, the waterfall!!
A real group to remember, thankyou all!!
This group was Rimas, Shanya, Matthew, Kayden, Shanzay, Barry, Adam, Syed, Daniel and Kendra.
it was a fun day with games followed by exploring the ponds. Then it was time for hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. After lunch we explored the cave and stood under the waterfall!!
What a fabulous day!
We had a busy day, this week, as we helped Tim, the Park Ranger, to make bird boxes. These will be put up by another group next month.
After that it was lunch, hot chocolate and an explore around the ponds on our designated site. There was a lot of tree climbing and mud stamping!
Then it was off to the waterfall where anyone with their school outdoor suit could stand under the stream of water without getting wet. An experience not easily forgotten.
Raghav, Subhan, Rahma, Coen, Adam, Adam,Lilav, Rose, Shada, Zamzam, Usman and Ruweida were all great company and looked after each other well!! We've still got a day to go!
What an exciting day to be at Alderley Edge! It was cold but we had an amazing snow shower in the afternoon!
This was the first time at Forest School for Ruweida, Raghav, Subhan, Rahma, Coen, Adam, Adam H, Usman, Lilav, Shada and Rose.
Once they got used to being outside the day got better and better, muddier and muddier and snowier.
We played games, explored the cave, made a shelter to eat under, drank hot chocolate, went climbing and sliding in the mud. We ended up at the Devil's Grave when the snow was at its best.
Our last day for this year gave us time to reflect on our time at Forest School.
We had to come back early as someone became ill with a bit of a fever. So it was over to the tipi for some whittling skills and fire setting. This allowed us to make hot chocolate and sit and think about all the things we had done on our days out.
A last day to remember and very different from our other 2 days. Blustery but not bad enough to have to go elsewhere. It has got wetter and nearly all the leaves have gone.Hopefully, this provided a day we will never forget. Mud! Mud! Mud!
Thankyou Carla, Bobby, Yasmin, Elicia, Moses, Yusuf, Nada, Oluwatomi, Ellianna, Jerome and Maryam. It was fun!
A second day for Ibrahim, Jose, Mia, Aishah, Daniel, Adiba, Mohammed, Lyna, Kayden, Lujaynah,Dima and Kaleb. We changed our base today and found a great place to build shelters using fallen logs and branches. Then after lunch and hot chocolate it was time to explore, climb, scramble, paddle and eventually get splashed by the waterfall. We've still got a day to go!!
As the seasons change, this group really noticed the difference in the way the forest looks at this time of year. Our previous visit was over a month ago and the autumn colours were really evident as we explored the site.
Nada, Zoe, Niola, Abdul, Mehdi, Liam, Aweys, Murtaza, Elijah, Nevaeh and Taha all enjoyed their second day at Alderley Edge. After some games and shelter building, we made a swing and enjoyed a long walk involving lots of climbing and ending up at the waterfall. Today, however , it was so dry that there was only a trickle of water in the stream ! Better luck next time!
This was the second time for Elliana, Elicia,Yasmin, Jokubus, Bobby, Carla, Jerome, Maryam, Oluwatomi, Yusuf, Moses and Nada.
The group worked really well together and had an action packed day playing new games, exploring the ponds then climbing and scrambling before finally ending up at the waterfall.
This term we are spreading our days out more so that each group sees the Forest in different seasons.
This group was Lyna, Ibrahim, Jose, Daniel, Aishah, Mia, Dima, Kaleb, Muhammad, Kayden, Lujaynah and Adiba. The weather was amazing and allowed us plenty of time to practise our shelters and explore.
A first time for this group and what a lovely Autumn day we got!!
Niola, Zoe, Nada, Elijah, Maria, Mehdi, Liam, Neveah, Abdul, Taha, Aweys and Murtaza had much to explore.
An action packed day with games, shelter making, hot chocolate, pond exploring, tree climbing, caving, cliff top views, climbing and scrambling.
What a great team, helping each other all the way and Munzer helping out too.
Can't wait for the next time , next month!!
The first groups of the year began this week.
This one was Elliana, Oluwatomi, Maryam, Jokubus, Nada, Moses, Jerome, Bobby, Carla, Yasmin, Elicia and Yusuf.
It was too windy to risk going right into the woods as there is a risk of falling branches, so we rerouted to Bollington and a trip to White Nancy. The ridge walk in the wind was exhilarating and the views were breathtaking!!
Back at school, a chance to reflect on our day in the tipi with a cup of hot chocolate!
A good day for everyone!!
This groups second day was a scorcher!!
Up in the woods though it was very pleasant in the shade and we had time to make shelters and play games. Then we found the Dragon's breath and the Little People's village which had been destroyed!!
After we had rebuilt it, it was time to go exploring and climbing!!
Today's group was Atyab, Zuhayra, Mustafa, Soheli, Shahd, Didan, Riyad, Abdulateef, Heba, Retal, Kordae and Sumayah. What a fabulous day!! Thanks everyone! Enjoy the photos.
