Today we made our own memory sticks. We collected things from around our Forest school space and connected them onto our sticks. What can you see that we collected?
- different coloured leaves
- different shaped leaves
- sticks of varying sizes
- moss, ferns, acorns, chestnuts
We had lots of fun today exploring the ropes. We learnt some new knots that we could use to tie the ropes up. We learnt how to do the timber hitch, alpine butterfly and the clown face knot. We made a balance rope and took turns to see who could get across!!!!
We began our time in the forest by exploring together and getting to know one another.
Today we had lots of fun making picture frames and representations of ourselves. Can you spot the eyes and mouths?

We had a challenge today in teams to build the tallest tower with sticks and masking tape.

What a wonderful way to finish our sessions together - playing in the sunshine.
We learnt how to whittle wood so we could make a fire to roast our marshmallows over.
We used our skills of knot tying to build some swings which was lots of fun!
We finished the session with making a picture frame and recording what we had done during our forest school sessions. It was a wonderful celebration to finish with.
We have had a fabulous second day as a group.
We explored our Forest school site, adding to the bridge that was already there making it more stable.
We enjoyed playing 'find the tree' where we worked in pairs with one blindfolded and we guided them around the forest.
What a fabulous afternoon we had down in Waterfall Woods. We slid our way down to the waterfall where we splashed about for ages!!

We had lots of fun exploring our site up in Alderley Edge. We even discovered the dragon's cave!!
We had a great last session together today. We loved exploring our site and looking at how much it had changed since our last visit.

We spent a lot of time discussing how to make a bridge to get from one side to the other without standing in the incredibly squelchy mud!!!!
Great team work led by Ziad built us a super substantial bride that we all tried out.
