This week, George, Ed and Nicole have been very busy working with all year groups! Year 2 have been learning about co-coordinating conjunctions with George!
Year 1 have been using speech bubbles with Ed and also done some drama in costume!
5G did some brilliant work on Active and Passive Voice sentences. We even had a rap battle using our new Active & Passive rap. Check out the video below!
This week, there have been lots of Anchor practitioners working in school! As ever, we have all had tremendous fun working with all the children throughout the school on creating some fantastic drama, singing and improving our SPaG skills!
One Tuesday, Jack thoroughly enjoyed working with Year 6 again on Tuesday, working on using suffixes to change word classes whilst Nicole saw some brilliant work from 4R on using short sentences for effect!
Year 3 worked with George and used some exciting costumes in their drama about exclamation sentences!
Ed worked on personification with 5G, 3 verb sentences with Year 1 (we sang a brand new song), sentence types with Year 6 and the progressive past tense with Year 4, in which we transported ourselves into the future and became elderly versions of ourselves!
We are all very much looking forward to working with everyone again next week!
The Anchor Team.
This week, Anchor Creative Education has been in school doing some exciting SPaG drama and music with all year groups! Both Ed & Nicole thoroughly enjoyed working with Year 4 on Wednesday and Thursday, dropping -ing clauses into sentences. Some wonderful drama was created for the sentence: "Ed, kicking and screaming, was dragged home by his mum." Two pupils even did a fantastic job of playing Ed's angry mum!
Year 5 showed fantastic teamwork during their second parenthesis session and created some wonderfully interesting freeze frames!
We look forward to working with the children again next week!
This week, the Anchor Creative Education team have been in school working with all year groups! Over the last few weeks, Year 4 have been working extremely hard with Ed, learning about subordinate clauses and subordinating conjunctions. We applied them to some sentences about different Greek Myths. One fun, fantastic example from today was "After his daughter went out on a date, Zeus hurled a lightening bolt through the sky!"
We've also had a great time singing the Anchor Subordinate Clause song in our amazing and dramatic singing voices!
