This week Year 5 went on a trip to Tatton Park, where we took part in an Anglo Saxon Experience.
We had a great day and learned so much about life in Saxon times with the characters we met. Have a look at our pictures and videos.
5G - can you tell me facts about each area we explored? Comment on the pictures to share these.
Our World Book Day book this year was 'Perfectly Norman' by Tom Percival. It's a lovely book about a little boy who one day grows a set of beautiful wings. But Norman gets worried about what people will think about his wings so he covers them up with his coat and withdraws from his friends and family. Poor Norman becomes so sad. One day he looks at the sky and sees colourful birds and remembers how happy his wings had felt when he discovered them. With encouragement from his family, he took off his coat and showed off his wings. To his delight, he flew and realised that there were so many other children with their own wings, flying freely - being themselves!
