I am super proud of all of Year 4 this week, after a well deserved rest over half term we are back and working hard!
The children have worked hard all week on our Black History topic of key figures in medicine. It has been a tricky topic but the children have done brilliantly!
They have used all the knowledge they have gained over the half term to create some fabulous pieces of art work, poems, biographies and many more for our hall display.
It’s been great to share our work with the whole school, parents and carers and just as fabulous to see what other year groups have been creating.
In our English lessons we have been looking at a story called 'Fox' by Margaret Wild and Ron Brooks. We have used the book this week to inspire our own writing. The children had the opportunity to write how they wanted to and in their chosen style.
There was a range of styles of writing chosen across the class, such as a diary entry, continuing the story on and writing from one of the character's point of view.
We have put all the pieces together to create a class book which we will read together throughout the term, I have no doubt the children will love to read them aloud to each other :)
Here are some examples
I am very much looking forward to reading the book over the weekend!
