Learning is going to be a bit different for a while... Please check your school email and join our Year 4 Classroom on Google Classroom so you can receive tasks while you are learning at home.
We hope you will enjoy them!
Meanwhile, here are some links to our usual online platforms. You should have login details for them, but if not, drop me an email and I will send them to you.
Take care of yourselves!
Multiplication check practice
In the Summer term the children will be tested on their times tables up to the 12 times table.
The children will need to answer a set number of questions with a short amount of time per question.
Use the above link to test yourself with the time limit to check which ones you are finding tricky
All children need to practice as often as they can at home and at school, practice, practice practice!
As part of our Dance lessons this half term we created movement based around The Romans to link in with our history lessons. The children did a great job of it.
We created and learnt a motif all together and then the children were split into pairs to explore the movements further by using travelling, levels and mirror imaging.
To end the half term this week we had performance. We discussed not only what makes a good performer but also what makes a good audience.
The children had some great ideas and impressed myself and each other with some great choreography and performance qualities! Well done!
Chinese New Year 2020
Classes 4M and 5B were lucky enough to visit The Whitworth Art Gallery on Friday (Chinese New Year's Eve) in celebration of Chinese New Year, which this year 2020, is year of the rat.
After a lovely walk to the gallery, the children took part in various Chinese New Year themed activities and watched some very impressive performances from an Arts company who had flown over all the way from China!
Performances included: hat juggling, lion dancing, acrobats, singing, diabolo and many more! We were blown away by the performers talents and captivated by the elaborate costumes and props. The children even got to have a go at walking with the huge, light up dragon with some of the performers! :)
As well as the wonderful performances the children had the opportunity to have a go at the art of paper cutting - a traditional Chinese art activity. I was very impressed with the children's cutting skills and concentration - there were some brilliant concentrating faces! :D
4M were extremely well behaved throughout the whole of the day and have done myself, Wilbraham Primary School and most importantly themselves proud!
A huge thank you to all the adults involved especially Ms. Hulston, Mrs Richard and Ms. Ahmed for organising and joining us on such a wonderful trip!
Well done 4M, Miss Mckibben is one very happy teacher. Have a great weekend and see you Monday :)
