What a fabulous week we have had. A huge thank you to all parents who came along to out Stay and Be Festive morning, we had a lot of fun making different Christmas tree decorations and activities.
We had a wonderful party on Thursday afternoon, where we had a disco, watched films and played games with all of Year 4. Not forgetting the huge amount of food which was donated by all the generous parents, thanks to them we had a feast!
The children also had an unexpected visit from a very special guest who even bought presents...
The children have worked extremely hard this term and they deserve a well deserved break and time off!
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all and your families.
See you in the 2020! Miss Mckibben x
Science The Water Cycle
The water cycle in a bag!
This week we have been learning about what happens to the water on our earth. Did you know that 71% of our earth is water?
Where does it come from and where does it go?
We looked at the water cycle practically by placing water with food colouring into a sealed bag and placing it by the window so the sun could shine on it. ☀️
Although it’s been very cold this week the sun still managed to warm the water in the bag to show the stages of the water cycle:
evaporation, condensation and precipitation. ☀️☁️🌧
The top photo shows the bags in their original state and the bottom photos show them after being on the window for a day.
What is the difference?
What has happened to the water?
