We went on code.org today and explored the coding games available for hour of code.
4J had a great day today in the library. We used our fab ideas to help plan an event that will take place in the library in January 2019. Everyone tried their hand at calligraphy, it was very tricky but lots of fun. On a tour of the library, we posed for pictures taken on a 360 degrees camera. We even got to have a sneak peek in the secret downstairs archives where all of the really old and delicate books are kept!
To end our topic on human teeth we conducted an experiment to investigate which popular drink would cause the worst tooth decay. We used eggs to represent a human tooth as they have a shell that is very similar to tooth enamel. We ensured it was a fair test by keeping everything the same apart from our one variable - the liquids. The results were shocking!
Will you ever drink your favourite drink without brushing again?
Make sure you keep practising ready for our test on Monday morning!
The last couple of days we have been learning all about teeth.
We made some fantastic models of teeth and some great information posters.
Here is the song we've been listening too.
Today was our second week having a go at BBC Touch Typing, we found it a lot easier this week and was able to keep our fingers over the right keys.
Some children even asked me to test them on which key is what and they did amazing.
We also opened our ICT Diary and wrote about this week and managed to save it.
Please support your children in learning their weekly spellings tough the Look, Cover, Write, Check method.
We will have a spelling test each Monday morning.
We have used flashcards to create our own 3 and 4 digit numbers on the playground. We had to create the largest number we could, the smallest number we could and numbers that were odd and even. It was lots of fun!
