We have had a fantastic half term and everyone has worked incredibly hard!!!
We had a spelling test this week that looked at some of the words we have been learning, everyone should be bringing home a list of the ones that they still need to work on. Here they are below.
The children will also be bringing home their volcanoes and pieces of art work that they have been working on this half term - please ask them about how they created them.
Finally, we hope everyone has a good rest with plenty of sleep and reads everyday :)
Over the past half term 3S have been working with a sports coach from Manchester City Football Club. We have been developing our throwing and catching skills and using these skills in different games. Our coach has been really impressed with how we have improved over the last few weeks and how well we all work as a team.
Well done 3S
Look how focused everyone was with their writing this morning.
Well done 3S!
This week the song we are looking at is called Something Inside so Strong by Labi Siffre. Have a listen, what do you think the lyrics mean?
We then thought about what it means to be strong on the inside and filled these bodies with appropriate words or phrases. Everyone worked incredibly hard!
We have continued to explore the artwork of Gustav Klimt this week. We looked at how he regularly painted bright, colorful pictures of flowers.
We had a go at sketching some flowers. This is called observational drawing. The children were incredibly calm during the art lesson and lots of beautiful sketches were produced.
