It was fantastic to see that nearly the whole class had their PE kit in school ready for their first PE lesson.
This half term we are developing and improving our throwing and catching skills.
For our parent's and carer's this week we had a stone decorating session. Thanks to everyone who came and helped. We have the start of a lot of stones. We intend to use these to create a new pathway in our Forest School area in the school grounds.
We had some great artists - here are a few that we have done so far.
The Bodycoach - Joe Wicks, has been running a series of live workouts designed to get school children more active and enjoying exercise. We joined in with a live workout along with over 600 schools across the UK. The children had a great time and really worked up a sweat!
Have a look here at some more of his workouts designed for children
It was lovely to see so many excited faces on the first day back to school. We hope you all had an enjoyable and restful Summer holidays.
*Some lovely photos to follow soon.
The children are settling in well. Over the past few days we have played lots of games so that the children can get to know each other. It can be quite a daunting time for some children so we have discussed our feelings about being in a new class.
By the end of this week all children will have a reading book to take home. Please make sure that children bring their reading bag to school EVERY day.
PE kits should be brought in to school on Monday and left in school all week then taken home on Friday.
If you feel you need to discuss anything with the class teachers then please come and see us at the end of the day. We can have a quick chat or you can make an appointment if you feel that something needs discussing in more detail.
