We have been learning all about Pop Art.
What is Pop Art? Pop Art is described as a fun way of interpreting art and incorporates lots of different styles. Pop art first emerged in the 1950s drawing on inspiration from everyday items, music, advertising, comic books and celebrities.
We looked at the artists Roy Lichenstein and Andy Warhol.
Andy Warhol used lots of bright, vibrant colours in his paintings. He also liked to repeat his images and create a large scale collage.
We were inspired by Andy Warhol and created a large scale collage using paint.
First, we painted individual boxes on a large piece of paper. Once the paint was dry we painted our hands and placed them on the paper! It was quite messy but we all enjoyed it.
