We had a fabulous time acting out Queen Elizabeth ll's Coronation.
This week we are celebrating British Science week by doing lots of Science based investigations and experiments. To kick start our week we had a visit from the Mad Scientists Team. Generator John showed us lots of wonderful experiments that amazed and intrigued us.
One of the investigations made Ms Lindsay very nervous - isn't that right Year 2!
Lots of pupils from KS1 helped Generator John with his experiments. They were great volunteers.
Which experiment did you like best?
In numeracy we have been learning all about the different types of 3D shapes.
Have a look at some of the images below and see if you can name the 3D shape.
During our lesson we examined the different shapes and tried to match the shapes to the correct name.
We also used the clixi to make some 3D shapes. Some of us used playdough and matchsticks to make some 3D shapes too.
I hope you all had a lovely, relaxing holiday and are ready to come back to school to work hard.
This term our new topic is called - Queens and Castles.

During Topic time we will be finding out about our Queen and Queen Victoria.
We will compare both Queens and look at what significant things they achieved during their reign
We were so pleased to welcome so many parents into our classroom to take part in reading activities with the children. The children loved sharing this time with you and we look forward to seeing you all again next Friday morning between 9.00 and 9.30am. Don't worry if you can't stay for the whole session. Feel free to come for as long as you can.
