This afternoon, two girls from Year 6 came into class to demonstrate some experiments to kick start Science Week in 2L. They shared their Science knowledge, wowed us with their investigations and answered all of our Science questions.
Aysha said "We learnt about acids and alkalis . They told us about the PH scale means."
We discussed different acids that are found in our homes. We know that some are dangerous and some are not.
Kyron said,"They also showed us some experiments using Carbon Dioxide ( CO2) and what it can do."
We looked at the affects it has on candles and who can remember what it did to the balloon?
Zenique said , " We learnt about density and we looked at different liquids and what happened when they were poured on top of each other. We had to guess what would happen."
The Year 6 girls did a great job and their Science investigations promoted lots of Science discussion in 2L.
