I am so proud of you all!
This year for World Book Day, the whole of Wilbraham Primary School shared a very special book called Tidy. This book taught us all about the importance of looking after our environment. This is why we re-used costumes and wore lots of green! We talked about making a pledge with Badger Pete about what we could do to help our environment. We talked about picking up litter, not wasting water and treating our oceans with respect. Well done 2B, you all looked brilliant whilst being environmentally friendly!
We are Thomas Farriner!
Following on from our DT tasting session, as a class we designed two different types of bread to make. One was savoury, full of cheese, tomato and garlic and the second was sweet with lots of sprinkles and chocolate chips!
The savoury bread was picked to be the most popular bread by 2B.
What would you change about your bread if you made it again?
Today was a very exciting day! We spent the afternoon working as a team to put out a real life FIRE! Just like in the Great Fire of London, we passed small cups of water down a line to our friends to throw on the fire. We realised how long it took all 90 of us to put out such a small fire and this got us thinking about how difficult it must have been during the Great Fire of London all those years ago in 1666.
In our Design and Technology sessions this half term 2B are exploring bread! This is because the Great Fire of London is our new topic and it is thought that the fire started in a bakery. 2B started exploring bread by tasting lots of different types and evaluating what they tasted like. Some we loved and some we didn't like at all! Enjoy our tasting pics!
